Conference / Camp

Expanding Beyond Competition

Competitive results are only one part of a player's development. To truly grow and prepare for international opportunities, players need exposure to different environments, formats, and levels of play. This is where conferences, training camps, and international programs play an important role.

What Are College Conferences?

In U.S. college golf, teams compete within structured groups known as conferences, such as:

  • Southeastern Conference (SEC)
  • Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC)
  • Big Ten Conference (Big Ten)

Each conference represents a competitive ecosystem where schools regularly compete against each other.

These conferences often define:

  • Level of competition
  • Exposure opportunities
  • Strength of schedule
  • Visibility to coaches and scouts

Understanding conferences helps players better understand the landscape of college golf.

The Role of Training Camps

Training camps and international programs provide experiences that tournaments alone cannot offer.

They allow players to:

  • Train in different environments and conditions
  • Experience structured coaching systems
  • Compete with players from different regions or countries
  • Adapt to new styles of play and expectations

These experiences are critical for players preparing to transition into international competition or college golf.

Why Exposure Matters

One of the biggest gaps for many junior players is not ability — it is exposure.

Participating in camps and international programs helps players:

  • Build confidence outside of their home environment
  • Understand global competitive standards
  • Gain visibility within broader golf networks

Exposure creates opportunity.

Where JGL Comes In

JGL is actively working to expand opportunities beyond local competition.

Our direction includes:

  • Supporting access to international training camps
  • Creating pathways to overseas competition experiences
  • Exploring collaboration with global partners and programs
  • Providing information and guidance for families interested in these opportunities

While these programs continue to grow, our goal is clear:
To connect competitive play in Taiwan with global experience.

For Parents

Camps and international experiences are not just about travel.

The real question is: "Is my child ready to learn in a more competitive and global environment?" The value comes from preparation, not just participation.

For Players

Every new environment challenges you differently. Every experience adds to your growth.

Step outside your comfort zone — that's where development happens.
